You have combined my absolute favorite thing in the world with something that while I don't hate I do find particularly annoying. No mashup I've seen on Teefury has ever bothered me this much. I used the line "This is my broomstick!" while cleaning the stage in between acts of Evil Dead the Musical, which I was in two years in a row, so to see it used in reference to that stupid kid magician actually ruined my morning. I love your artwork and I mean you no ill will by this comment. And I know most people will love this pun and think I'm being unnecessarily negative or "just hatin" but I thought I would let you know anyway.
Yeah, that was just straight-up rude. Telling someone they ruined your morning is never acceptable, no matter how you say it, and it certainly isn't constructive in any way. If you don't like Harry Potter, that's your call, but don't be an ass to the artist just because you got a little miffed.
I don't understand this line of thinking where I'm not supposed to talk about how art makes me feel. Isn't it enough of a compliment that I got such an emotionally charged reaction from it. There should never be a place to display art of any kind that doesn't welcome discussion of all kind. It's not called DeviantGladhanding.
Oh come on. You know as well as I do that telling someone they ruined your morning is not a compliment, nor is it even remotely constructive. You're just using the "all kinds of discussion should be allowed" bit as an excuse to justify your rudeness. Grow up and just accept responsibility, man. There are polite ways to express yourself, and saying "you ruined my morning" is sure as heck not one of them.
To be quite honest, telling me that my t-shirt "ruined your morning" is neither helpful nor appreciated. You're entitled to your own opinion, but I just don't see the point in making that comment. /shrug
